Chapter 16

Finally Brooklyn was home after a couple of months of being in the hospital. Carrie and Brad were happy their daughter was home and luckily Brad had finally finished the nursery.

Carrie was walking out of the nursery after putting Brooklyn down in her crib. She held the baby monitor in her hand and went looking for Brad. He was sitting in the living room watching golf and Carrie went and sat down next to him on the sofa. He casually put his arm around Carrie so she snuggled into his chest.

"You know I totally have no interest in golf" Carrie said looking at the screen.
"Drat because I was planning on becoming a professional golfer because this hockey thing is not working out so I guess we have to break up now" Brad joked which earned him a punch by Carrie.
"Dude, I guess we have to break up and Brooklyn is coming with me" Carrie said sitting up and smirking at Brad.
"Is that right? I think you will have a custody fight on your hand because she is my child too" Brad said raising his eyebrows.
"A fight huh? Then bring it on Mr Goon" Carrie laughed.

Brad leaned in and Carrie thought he was going to kiss her but he pressed his forehead against hers and winked, "Mr Goon" and then they laughed.

Brad was in bed reading and he looked up as Carrie emerged from the bathroom.

"Wow I likie what I see" Brad said dropping his book on the floor and patting the empty side of the bed.
Carrie walked over to the bed and climbed in but before she could get comfortable, Brad grabbed her by the waist and pulled her down and then moved above her.

"Dude, is this your way of seducing me?" Carrie said sarcastically.
"Yes now get naked so we can just have sex" Brad joked and leaned in and started nibbling on Carrie's earlobe.

Carrie giggled and instead of Brad pretending to be a cave man he actually seduce Carrie gently and sweetly. They slowly undressed each other and there was lots of kissing.

Brad was touching Carrie and he knew exactly how to make her scream his name all night long. Carrie was holding onto Brad's strong shoulders tightly. Chapter 15

Several weeks had gone by and Brooklyn was growing stronger but was still having to stay at the hospital. Carrie and Brad were constantly at the hospital visiting Brooklyn and the nurses were not complaining because Brad was cute. Carrie has to laugh at the nurses falling all over themselves at Brad when he walked by or said hey to them. He was really nice and signed autographs and took pictures with them.

"You have tons of fans here" Carrie giggled one afternoon as they past the nurse's station as the nurses smiled and waved.
Brad looked and smiled, blushed, and nodded and then took Carrie's hand in his as they continued down the hallway to the NICU unit.
"You're embarrassed Mr Richards" Carrie smirked.
"Yeah I am" Brad said turning more red with embarrassment.

They got to the NICU and headed in to visit with Brooklyn. Carrie sat in a rocking chair and the nurse brought Brooklyn over because Brooklyn was able to be out of her incubator for just a short time.

Carrie was holding Brooklyn and it was so amazing and made her happy because her baby was in her arms.

"She is getting bigger" Carrie exclaimed with a huge smile and looked at Brad. Brad smiled back, "Yes she is and hopefully soon we will have her home in the nursery".
"Oh Brad we gotta finish the nursery" Carrie said slightly freaking out.
"It will be done relax sweetheart. I promise" Brad said leaning over to give Carrie a quick kiss.

Carrie and Brad were home that evening chilling watching a movie. Carrie was leaning on Brad's chest and snuggling. It was fun to be close like this and just being alone.

"Hey Brad, I am really happy now"
"Oh yeah"
"Yes because I know Brooklyn is going to be home soon and I will finally get to be a mom. Everything is perfect now".
"Yeah things are definitely great now" Brad said and kissed the top of Carrie's head.

Carrie moved and leaned into Brad and kissed him deeply on the lips. Brad smirked and kissed her passionately back. It turned into a fun make out session for Brad and Carrie on their sofa. The movie was ignored and that was fine.

Chapter 14

Carrie was finally released from the hospital but had to leave her daughter in the NICU. Carrie was getting pushed by the nursery and she said, "Stop and I wanna see my little girl before I go".

The nurse stopped and helped Carrie out of the wheelchair. Brad took Carrie's hand and walked with her over to the window to look at their daughter.

Carrie looked at Brooklyn in her special bassinet and hook up to some machines and it made her sad.

"She is so little" Carrie said biting her lip as she looked at Brad.
"Yes she is but remember she is a Richards" Brad said and took Carrie's face in his hands and leaned down and kissed her deeply.

Brad pulled back and looked at Carrie and they smiled at each other and then he helped her back into her wheelchair. The nurse pushed her down to the car and then Brad helped Carrie into the car. They headed home and Carrie looked out her window thinking about her baby.

When they got home Carrie walked into the condo and went over to the sofa and sat down. She put her hands on her abdomen and let the tears fall. Brad sat down next to her and pulled her into a hug and held her close. Brad rubbed her back and just whispered how much he loved her and everything would be fine.

That night Carrie and Brad were laying in bed snuggled together. Carrie was laying on Brad's chest and thinking about their daughter.

"Brad, you know how scared I am about losing Brooklyn right?"
"Yes baby, I know its hard for you after losing two babies before but Brooklyn is stronger and I feel in my heart she will be home very soon" Brad explained.
"I can't lose another baby especially our baby" Carrie said smiling up at Brad.
Brad leaned down and kissed Carrie deeply and then they feel asleep in each others arms.

The next morning Carrie woke up and untangled herself from Brad's arms. She walked quietly into the bathroom.

Brad moved to pulled Carrie close and realized she was not in bed next to him.

"Sweetheart, where are you?"

Carrie came out of the bathroom and Brad patted the spot next to him on the bed. Carrie giggled and climbed back into bed and snuggled against Brad. They started kissing and making out and then cuddled together.

Carrie pulled back and said, "We need to go and see Brooklyn this morning". Brad kissed Carrie one more time and then they got ready to go to the hospital.

At the hospital Carrie and Brad spent time talking to Brooklyn. The doctor had said talking to their baby was good for her and would help her getting better quicker. That made Brad and Carrie hope that Brooklyn would be home soon.

Chapter 13

Carrie was in her hospital room and the nurses were prepping her for labor. Brad was a nervous wreak and not sure what to do so he sat off to the side and waited until he could hold Carrie's hand. Finally Carrie reached out for Brad's hand and he walked over and held her hand.

"Oh god Brad this is freaking out" Carrie said flipping out.
"It is going to be fine. Just relax" Brad said gently pushing her hair off her face and then giving her a quick kiss on the forehead.
"I...can....not...relax Brad! I have a baby inside of me and it wants OUT! UGH Oh God" Carrie stuttered.

Brad gave Carrie some ice chips to suck and he caressed her hand to try and relax her.

Carrie was slowly starting to calm down because Brad seemed to have that affect on her and that he was caressing her hand was wonderful. He always knew how to calm her down by either holding her hand or giving her a kiss.

The doctor walked in and asked, "How's the patient?"
"I am doing better" Carrie said smiling at Brad, who smiled back at Carrie.
"Good then let's have a baby" the doctor said.

Several hours later Brad and Carrie were the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl. They named her Brooklyn Grace Richards. Little Brooklyn was rushed off to the Neonatal Unit because she was born early. Carrie and Brad had a few moments with their new daughter and then had to watch as the nurses took her so the doctor could check Brooklyn out.

After Brooklyn was gone, Carrie took a deep breath and look up at Brad with tears in her eyes. Brad looked down at Carrie and kissed her.

"I can not say if everything will be perfect but Brooklyn is a Richards and we are strong" Brad said looking lovingly into his fiancee's eyes.
"I hope so because I need our baby daughter to survive after losing two other babies" Carrie said strongly.
"I know sweetheart and all you and I can do is pray for Brooklyn to be strong and survive".
"Bradley you always make me feel better and I love you so much" Carrie said smiling.
"I love you more Carrie" Brad said kissing Carrie again and held her as they prayed for their new baby girl and her survival.

Chapter 12

The Rangers were battling with the Devils in the playoffs and then in game 6 of that series the Devils knocked out the Rangers. Needless to say Brad and his teammates were heartbroken about the loss. It was hard but they all got through the after game interviews and packed their bags and climbed onto the airplane to head back home to their families.

Brad got in really late and quietly walked into the bedroom and put his bags down and then went over to the bed and looked at Carrie sleeping peacefully. He knew Carrie had been watching the game because he was getting texts from her when he checked his phone between periods but because of her pregnancy she could not travel. Brad knew Carrie wanted to be at the game but the baby and Carrie's health were way more important.

Brad walked into the bathroom and then got ready for bed and then slid into the bed and put his arm around Carrie's waist and got comfortable and then went to sleep quickly.

The next morning Carrie woke up to the feeling of Brad's strong arms holding her. She turned to face Brad but it was not as easy because of her huge baby belly but she managed. She gently touched his sleeping face and smiled. Carrie knew Brad was upset because of the loss against the Devils so she was going to try and make Brad happy whatever way possible. Carrie leaned in and kissed Brad's lips and then waited to see if Brad would wake up which he did.

"Morning gorgeous" Brad said, "I loved getting woken up by you kissing me".
Carrie leaned back in for another amazing kiss which Brad totally loved, "I love you so much and want you to always to be happy" Carrie said with her amazing smile and drove Brad crazy in a good way.
"You always make me happy in any situation" Brad said smiling.
"Brad, I know last night was tough and I really wish I could have been there after the game to give you a hug and kiss" Carrie said as a tear fell down her cheek and she bit her lip.
"Oh baby do not cry and the health of our baby is way more important and I knew you were there" Brad said holding his fiancee close and kissing her temple.
"Oh Brad, how did I get to be so lucky to have you back in my life?" Carrie asked.
"No Carrie, I am the lucky one to have you to want me back in your life" Brad said and kissed her again.

They cuddled and talked more in bed for a lot of the morning.

That evening Brad, Carrie, his parents, his sister, Paige, and Carrie's aunt Susan were sitting in Brad and Carrie's condo living area relaxing after a great dinner out earlier.

"Brad you guys played amazing and we have next season to get that cup" Brad's dad Glenn said and Brad's mom Delite nodded in agreement.
"Yeah we do" Brad stated quietly.
"Carrie, how are you feeling these days?" Paige asked.
"Oh gosh I am tired all the time and all the crazy baby things that are happening to my body. I know I am driving poor Brad up the wall with everything" Carrie said looking at Brad.
Brad looked at Carrie and kissed her temple and smiled.

At one point Carrie was in the kitchen getting coffee going for everyone in the kitchen. Carrie was reaching up for something in the cabinet and she felt something in her abdomen.

"Oh wow" Carrie said and shook it off but then she felt it again and this time Brad overheard her and was next to her instantly.
"Baby, what's wrong?" Brad asked concerned holding Carrie.
"I....I....I think the baby is coming...I think. Take me to the hospital please" Carrie pleaded.
Brad picked Carrie up in his arms and everyone else helped out by getting Carrie's bag and getting the house situated after they are left and headed to the hospital.

In the car, Carrie looked over at Brad and said, "Brad, the baby is coming early and I am really scared!"
Brad grabbed Carrie's hand and squeezed it and said, "Everything will be fine, I promise".
"I love you Brad"
"I love you more Carrie"

Chapter 11

The Rangers were seriously getting more into the playoffs and so Brad was really busy and doing a lot of traveling. That meant that Carrie was alone but she was fine with it because it gave her time to rest that both she and the baby needed to stay healthy. Carrie did watch Brad play on tv when he was on the road but when he was in town, she would go to Madison Square Garden and seat in a box with her Aunt Susan to cheer on Brad.

One evening Brad was actually at home for a couple of days so he was enjoying his time home with Carrie. They were actually chilling out in the den watching a movie because Brad needed to forget hockey for a little while. Carrie was snuggled against Brad's chest and was really enjoying being in Brad's arms and the feeling of Brad's hand caressing her back. She was getting sleepy and looked up at Brad and smiled.

Brad continued and before he knew it Carrie was asleep against his chest. He smiled and continued to watch his movie.
When it was over Brad picked up Carrie and took her to bed. Brad cuddled Carrie close and they fell asleep together.

The next morning Carrie woke up feeling the baby playing soccer with her bladder so she gently untangled herself from Brad's arms to go into the bathroom. She was washing her hands when she heard Brad call out to her.

"Baby get back into bed with me" Brad called out.
Carrie smirked and quickly finished in the bathroom and headed back to Brad.
Brad smirked when Carrie climbed back into bed and cuddled with Brad.

Carrie and Brad were laying facing each other and Brad leaned in and kissed Carrie deeply. Brad then started to seduce Carrie by letting his hands slide over Carrie's body. He gently undressed Carrie and then shed his own pajamas. Carrie slid her hands along Brad's back.

Chapter 10

Brad was busy with the playoffs coming up and so Carrie was spending a lot of time sitting at the condo because she was officially on bed rest by the doctor.

"Ugh I am so bored" Carrie said to the walls. She was waiting for the Rangers game to come on the tv. She was so annoyed that she could not go to Madison Square Garden to support her man but at least she could watch the game.

Finally the game started and Carrie was enjoying all the action.

"Come on guys score" Carrie yelled at the tv. The action was getting faster because the Rangers were playing their arch rival the Islanders. During the second period was getting nasty with lots of fights. Carrie watched as Brad actually threw some punches at some Isles player. Brad ended up on the ice with the other guy but from what the commentators said Brad had won that fight which made Carrie smile.

"That's my man" Carrie giggled again to herself. She could not wait until the game was over so that Brad would be at home with her.

As luck would have it the game ended in regulation and the Rangers had won.

Carrie was glad because that meant Brad would be in a great mood and they could celebrate.

Brad got home really late because all the reporters wanted to talk with him after the game because he had scored the game winning goal. But while he was talking with the reporters all he could think about was Carrie and hoping she was fine. Ever since her stay at the hospital he was extremely protective of Carrie and wanted nothing to happen to her or their baby.

Finally he was home and he quietly walked into the bedroom and saw Carrie sleeping peacefully. Brad walked over to the bed and just looked at Carrie and smiled.
She looked like an angel with her hair spread across the pillow.

Brad undressed and climbed into bed. He pulled Carrie to his body and held her close.

Carrie felt Brad pulled her to him and she turned to look at him.

"Hey baby. Go back to sleep sweetheart you need rest for your sake and the baby's" Brad said gently and caressed Carrie's cheek and then kissed her tenderly.
Carrie yawned and then snuggled into Brad's chest.

"Hey Brad"
"Yes Carrie"
"I love you Brad"
"I love you more Carrie"
